THE CREATORS

THE HISTORY OF WILDLIFE FORCE

The concept of Wildlife Force began in 1997 as an idea to educate young audiences about endangered species and inspire them to take care of their environment. Character designer Stephen Silver began developing the concept and created six animated characters led by the Giant Panda “Bamboo.” Along with Bamboo, a team of endangered superheroes traveled the globe, rescuing their friends and battling their archenemies, the Destructors. The property was well received by a number of zoological institutions as an exciting new educational property, but remained in the development stage due the increased demand for Silver’s character designs. During the next decade Silver would go on to create such well-known characters as Kim Possible and Danny Phantom. But his passion for bringing the Wildlife Force to young audiences never waned.

Flash forward – a decade later.

Silver made the decision to partner with Ambient Blue, an entertainment company. Ambient Blue had recently created the wildly popular conservation focused show Splash! Animals and debuted it at the World Famous San Diego Zoo. Together, Stephen Silver, Christina Grenard, and James G. Williams began updating the concept by re-imagining and expanding the Wildlife Force world and characters into a dynamic new entertainment property with a strong story and message about conservation.

Stay tuned for Episode 1 in 2012.
